In Memory

Jessie

Chris & Bobbi from Nittany Beagle Rescue brought Jessie, along with several other beagles, to a puppy mill march in Harrisburg, May of 2002. At the back of the line was this raggedy little beagle who they called, Jessie. Seeing how sad she looked with her tummy dragging the ground, I felt that no one would want her so... I said to them, "If no one takes her, I will." Bobbi knew me so knew I'd give this sweet, sad little thing a good home. At the end of the march, she was still there so I brought her home.

Sadly, she only lived until March of 2006. She went into liver failure and was put down with me by her side. Whatever background she had, how horrific it may have been, she had 4 happy years with me and my other dogs. She is missed!!!

Losing a beloved pet is so very hard on all of us. They have given us so much love through the years when they were with us here on earth and now we live with their wonderful memories.

Tax-deductible donations of $25.00 can be made in memory of a beloved pet. By memorializing your pet or a friend's or family member's pet in this way, you help Nittany Beagle Rescue give beagles who are in shelters or with owners who can no longer keep them a second chance at a wonderful life.
