Even though we weren’t there for your beginning, you were our fur baby until the end. We always felt as if you were meant to be ours. From the first time we saw you at a chance meeting in Petco we fell in love with your goofy, happy grin, your perky ears that stood up when you “sat pretty,” and your soft-as-silk fur. It wasn’t until a year later when we were able to finally adopt another pup and we were amazed that you were still looking for your forever home. There was no question… you were ours.

You brought such happiness, fun, and pure love to the last seven years of our lives. We’ll never forget how you zoomed around the yard playing chase with your brother; how you could spend hours simply sunning yourself in the yard or in the bay window; how you always knew when we needed comfort and sat by our sides as a source of comfort. Everyone who met you instantly fell in love with your sweet face and your even sweeter personality. Your laidback demeanor was only punctuated by your happy tail. We’ve never seen a dog with such a happy tail! It was ALWAYS wagging… even at times in your sleep. It’s a wonderful feeling to know you were as happy with us as you made us.

On December 5th, 2023, just a month shy of your 15th birthday, we made the difficult decision to help you cross the rainbow bridge. We knew your body was giving up from kidney failure and we couldn’t allow you to suffer. We gave you all the love we possibly could as we sat with you and held you as you slipped away. While you may no longer be in our home, you will forever be in our hearts and someday in the future we know you’ll be there to greet us… tail wagging, ears raised, and a big goofy grin on your face, because you were, are, and always will be a good boy.
