In Memory

In Loving Memory of Sasha

Sasha passed away on Easter Sunday, April 1, 2018. She is pictured left with her daughter Gracie, who were both adopted on November 8, 2013. At the time, I thought I was rescuing them. That of course is not the whole story. It is Sasha, along with her daughter- Gracie that rescued me. This is the first time that Gracie is without her mother and that breaks my heart. Where one was, the other followed. Where one slept, the other slept. When one wanted to go out, so did the other one. (and so on)

Our time with Sasha was way too short, but my memories of her will forever touch my heart. We were in-separable- daily short and long walks, play time in the back yard, long adventures in the walking trails at Prince Gallitzin State Park, taking mom to her doctor's appointments and grocery shopping, and having her at my side as we binge watched netflix shows.

Sasha, along with Gracie are my first "Rescues".... but definitely will not be my last.

Thank you Sasha. I love you and we will miss you.
