Nittany Beagle Rescue - Ruthie

UPDATED 6/29/2025 Hi! My name is Ruthie! I'm a super sweet 4-year old female beagle mix! I'm so affectionate & loving! I'm also very playful! I like to play ball! I love going for walks - I would be a great hiking or jogging buddy! I've been around children ages 5-12 & I'm very good with them! I've also been around other dogs & I'm good with them also! I've always lived outside as a hunting dog - but I don't like to hunt! I'm so ready to live in a home & be with my people! I can be pretty timid in new situations - so I need a person who can help me gain confidence. I really enjoy being around other dogs! I'll need work on housetraining - but I'm very smart & I learn quickly! I really want to please my person! I am crate trained. I would be fine in the crate if my person works outside of the home. I ride great in a car - I just relax & go to sleep! I can hop over a 4 foot fence, so if my person has a fenced yard, they need a fence higher than 4 feet. I would be totally fine living in an apartment or condo, as long as my person takes me for walks! Please think about making me part of your family & giving me a forever home! I'm up-to-date on vaccines & spayed. I weigh about 45 lbs.
