Bio at the Time of Adoption

Hi! My name is Bear, & I'm a super sweet male beagle/coonhound mix. (My mother is a beagle & my dad is a coonhound.) I'm only 8 months old & so I'm still a puppy! I'm full grown. I probably weigh about 40 lbs., but I'm on the thin side. So I should probably weigh closer to 45 lbs. I've lived outside in a pen all my life until recently when I went into a temporary foster home. I'm doing really well in my foster home! I love living in a home with people! I get along with other dogs, & I've been around children as young as 8 years. I love everyone, especially children! I would love my very own child! My foster home has a cat. I've been sniffing the cat, but I haven't chased the cat. I really am an easygoing guy! I really want to please my people! I haven't had an accident in my foster home yet, but they are keeping a pretty good eye on me. But I'm smart & I want to please my people, so I'll probably learn about living in a home pretty quickly! I'm learning how to use steps in my foster home. In my prior home, I lived in the country, pretty far from other houses & traffic. And so I'm not used to traffic or town sounds yet. On the car ride to my foster home, I was pretty scared & didn't move. So it's hard to say how I'll act in a car once I'm not scared any more. I will be neutered on 3/21/24. I can't wait to go to my very own forever home & live with my people!
