Bio at the Time of Adoption

Hi! My name is Daisy! I'm a 3-year old female tricolor beagle. My person passed away 2 months ago, & I was in 2 different homes after he passed before coming to Nittany Beagle Rescue. I'm a sweet, gentle dog. I'm also energetic & playful! I really like fetch & ball! I will also bolt out the door so you have to be careful. I ride well in a car. I'll shake & sit for a treat! I'm housetrained. I'm also crate trained, but the crate really stresses me out. So I need a forever home that isn't going to put me in a crate. I'm also very affectionate and loving with women. I love to be loved in return! But I have had issues with men in the 2 homes I was in after my owner passed. I've been through a lot the past couple of months, and so I really need to decompress for awhile. In the 2 homes I was in after my owner passed, I had anxiety & stress issues with adult men & I would nip them. (It was never a serious bite but sometimes I broke the skin). So now I'm in a foster home in Nittany Beagle Rescue & I will chill out in the foster home until I regain my confidence. My foster parents will work with me on reducing my anxiety around men. UPDATE 7/7/2023: Reports from Daisy's foster parents lead us to believe she needs low-stress home with no children or teenagers. While she was good with the children in the 2 homes she was in after her person died, we are now thinking that it was the stress of the radical change in circumstances that lead to her aggression. She went to a quiet, low stress home with her elderly owner to one with young children, other dogs & cats (in both homes). We feel as though the radical change traumatized her.
