Cherry

Bio at the Time of Adoption

This is a COURTESY POST. Cherry is a 9 year old spayed beagle who weighs 25 pounds. She came to us with her brother, Tobie, and they are very bonded to each other and have been through a very rough year. Their owner had them in a boarding kennel for months trying to figure out a way to keep them and finally couldn't. They have been without a home for too long and desperately want to find a family to take them both. Despite her age, Cherry is a very active dog that loves to spend time outside sniffing around for rabbits. When she picks up a scent, she lets out a sound like a bugle and is off and running. She does have arthritis that requires daily medicine. Once she takes her meds, her arthritis doesn’t slow her down a bit. In fact, exercise is very good for her because it keeps her weight down and builds up her muscles, so she will need a new home that can keep her fit and active. She likes to come inside and cuddle up to someone on the couch or to chew a bone on her dog bed. She is very well-behaved in the house and can be left alone without any problems. She is house trained and will let you know when she needs to go outside. Like her brother, Cherry loves children, others dogs, and cats. Cherry really enjoys going on walks and for car rides. At her foster home, she sleeps in her crate throughout the night. Cherry is very friendly and affectionate and will make a great family pet.
