Jake (formerly Jack) · Adopted 2023
Bio at the Time of AdoptionHi! My name is Jake & I'm a super sweet 1 year old corgi/basset/terrier mix. (I used to be called jack, but my foster home thought I act more like a Jake - & I do!) I really needed a place to go, so Nittany Beagle Rescue made me an honorary beagle! I had a pretty rough life before I came into Nittany Beagle Rescue. Aren't I adorable! I'm a really friendly, goofy guy! And I love to give kisses! I'm really energetic, but after a good walk or some play time, I calm down. I'm also quite strong. I'm housetrained for the most part, although I may mark or have an accident when I first go into my new home. I'm very bright & I'm a fast learner. I've lived with young children, but because of my strength & energy, I'll be placed in a home where the children are big enough that I won't knock them down. I love to chew on big bones! I'm at that adolescent chewing stage, so my new family will want to make sure I have appropriate things to chew on. I would love to sleep in bed with my person at night-I am very affectionate and love to give kisses! I also ride well in a car, although sometimes I will try to get you to pet me or try to sit up front with you. I'm in a foster home now, & I like to play with the other dogs my size. I chase the cats, but my foster home is working on that with me. Jake only weighs 42 lbs. He is already neutered & microchipped. Jake is a pretty quiet guy, & he doesn't bark much. Is Jake right for you - or do you know a good home who would be perfect for Jake? If so, please think about making Jake part of the family!
