Bio at the Time of Adoption

Hi! My name is Axel & I'm an adorable 20-month male beagle mix. I'm a very active fellow! I'm also very playful! I really like to play tug-of-war & ball! But I'm also very snuggly & loving! I love to be on my person's lap & to sleep in bed with them at night. I live with a cat, & I'm fine with the cat. I'm a sociable & attentive fellow with my people. I've been exposed to young children, but I haven't spent much time with them. So a home with older children (12 or older) or no children would be best for me. I'm afraid of other dogs & will bark at them. I did make friends with another dog - so if you take your time introducing me, I should be fine. I'm housetrained & crate trained. However, I will have an accident in the crate if I'm in it for more than 6 to 8 hours. I usually go outside 4 or 5 times a day. I will sit by the door or whine lightly when I need to go outside. I'm still working on some manners (I like to jump up on people). But all in all, I'm doing pretty well! I like car rides, but I'm rambunctious in the car, so it's best to secure me with a doggie seatbelt. The best way to get me to do something is to offer me a treat :) I'm already neutered & up-to-date on vaccines. I weigh about 40 lbs. Now I'm just waiting for my forever home to find me!
