Bio at the Time of Adoption

Hi! My name is Puck & I'm a 9-year old male tricolor beagle. People who know me say I'm very likable & unforgettable! I'm quite smart! I know how to open lever doors & can get past safety gates. I can also open zippers on bags of dog food! I'm an affectionate, easygoing fellow. I like to cuddle with my people. I also enjoy playing fetch! I like to sleep in bed with my people at night. I love car rides! I'm housetrained. If I need to go outside, I go to the door & wait. If I'm waiting awhile, then I'll scratch at the door. My people work at home, so I go out about 4 times per day. If my people are out all day, I can hold it 8-9 hours. I'm a little growly if I'm in an uncomfortable situation. I can be possessive over food if I'm getting into something I shouldn't. Also, I can be possessive if I get something I shouldn't have. However, I do know the command "leave it." I live with another dog, & I'm fine with the dog. (I'll growl if the dog tries to take my toy, though). I will growl or snap if you step on me. Sometimes I'm possessive over my people & may growl if someone approaches. I currently live with a 17-month child, & I'm currently being crated when the child is walking around the house. Because I can be a little cranky sometimes, I need a new home without young children. I would probably be fine in a home with older children who know how to properly treat a dog. I'm neutered & up-to-date on vaccines. I'm anxious to find my new home where I can just relax & cuddle with my people, & hang out on the dog bed all the time!
