UPDATED 1/6/2023 Hi! I'm Gallagher, a 6-year old male coonhound mix, & I weigh about 85 lbs. But don't let my size fool you! I'm a gentle giant! I'm an affectionate fellow & love to be with my people! I'm a really great dog!! I'm in a foster home without a fenced yard, & I'm doing well! I could be a lead dog for a sled team. LOL But I'm improved immensely with leash walking in my foster home. I have good demeanor and a willingness to learn. I will try to chase a car, so you have to be alert when you're taking me for a walk on-leash. I would also be happy to have a fenced in yard. I play well with other dogs, although I'm not a fan of small dogs, but I am trying! I've been around children of all ages. I'm pretty curious about children, and I'm well-behaved with them. I get so excited when company comes, & sometimes I forget my manners. But I'm working on staying on all 4 paws with my foster home. I follow the house rules when my foster family isn't home, so no crating is needed. I love treats and outside time! I don't really like traveling - it makes me car sick if all the windows are closed. But if you open a window, I do much better. I've lived with a guinea pig & was fine with him. I'm protective of my home & yard, but I'm OK if you let strangers come into the house. I'm already neutered & up-to-date on vaccines. I'm looking for my forever home! Are you it! I sure hope so!
