Bio at the Time of Adoption

ON HOLD until early Jan. (traveling with her foster mom). I’m about 4 years old. I’m very affectionate, smart, & eager to please my people! I’m great on a leash & I LOVE walks! I’d also make a great running partner. I’m relatively quiet for a beagle. I’m young, so I have a lot of energy, but I settle down if you give me enough exercise. Give me a good walk in the morning (1.5 mi) before you go to work & I’ll be fine in the crate for 8-9 hours. Then another 1.5 mi in the evening - plus play time! I travel well. I’m very good with other dogs – I love to play with them. I’m not good with cats, though. I’ve been training at Muddy River K-9 Academy in New Bloomfield, PA. I’m doing great! I thrive on structure. I do better in a crate when no one is home rather than roaming free. (It makes me nervous not to have structure.) If my person works at home, I do better being told to go to my place bed, or be in a crate. I do not like loud sounds. So I need a relatively quiet home. I’m housetrained, spayed & up-to-date on vaccines. I just need my forever home! Are you it? My forever family will need to participate in training at Muddy River so you can learn what I know and how to maintain my existing training. A home with older dog savvy children would be OK. I would be a great 1st dog for a person who wants to learn about training!
