Bio at the Time of Adoption

Hi! My name is Sadie & I'm a 10 year old female beagle. I need a home because my person passed away. I've lived all my life with 2 other female beagles outside as a hunting dog. I'm in a foster home now & I'm LOVING it! I loved the bath my foster mom gave me, & I adore having my head & back rubbed! I like to stick right by my foster family. I'm making great progress on housetraining & house manners. I'm very smart! I'm learning fast about living in a home. I'm still a little jumpy, & I might be that way for awhile. This is all really, really different for me. Because I haven't been around young children, I will be placed in a home with older children (8-12 years) or no children. I need a home where I will have a securely fenced yard. I have been known to dig under a fence, so it needs to be secure. I will run off looking for bunnies to chase if I get loose. I don't know how to walk on a leash, & so that is something I need to learn. Because I never went anywhere, I'm pretty timid in new situations. I'm a big girl - about 40 lbs. I will be spayed before I'm adopted. I also have a mammary tumor that will be removed when I'm spayed. I'm anxious to become part of a family as a member of the household, enjoying life on the couch!
