Adopted Beagles, 2018

Achilles

Bio at Adoption: Hi! My name is Achilles & I'm an adorable 8-year old male beagle. I'm a great dog! I'm very loving & like to hang out with my people! I'm really sociable & I like people! I'm also very easygoing. I like to sleep in a dog bed in the bedroom with my people. In the past, I liked to sleep under a blanket. I'm great with other dogs, cats & older children. I've played with children aged 10 & over & have been very good with them. However, toddlers make me nervous, & so I need a home without babies and preschoolers. I'm housetrained, although I need to stay on a schedule. I am fine loose in the house while my people are out. And so while I'm crate trained, I haven't been crated the past several years. I will go to the door if I need to go outside. I ride well in a car for shorter trips. But I tend to get car sick on long trips. I'm already neutered & up-to-date on vaccines. However, I'm living in a boarding kennel & I need a home! Please think about making me part of your family! Click on my page to see another photo of me!

Beth Ann

Bio at Adoption: Hi! My name is Beth Ann & I'm a very sweet beagle/whippet mix. I'm about 6 or 7 years old. I am very affectionate & loving! I'm very good with children of all ages. I've lived with a cat & another dog, & got along fine with them. I like to be with my people & don't do well when I'm alone. Nittany Beagle Rescue is working on helping me gain some weight. I originally came from a place where they might have been abusive. So I need a home where the people are gentle and don't raise their voices. I lived in a home for the past 6 months, & I like to hang out on the couch with my people. At night, I sleep either in bed with my people or on a dog bed in the bedroom. I am partially housetrained, & I need a family who can work with me 1-on-1 to help me become fully housetrained. In order for me to become fully housetrained, I may need to be walked on a leash rather than let out in a backyard. Right now I weigh 27 lbs. Beth Ann is up-to-date on vaccines & spayed. She is living in a foster home & they are working on her housetraining! Click on Beth Ann's page to see another photo of her!

Bindi Sue

Bio at Adoption: Hi! My name is Bindi Sue! You can call me Bindi, for short. I'm a female red tick beagle, & I'm 2 years old! I'm a very, very active beagle & I need a home with a fenced yard, or a person who is very active & will take me for lots of runs! I love attention, & I'm very affectionate! I like to sit on the couch with my person & sleep in bed with them at night. I'm good with other dogs. I haven't been around cats. I like to play fetch, frisbee & ball! I'm fine with teenagers, but young children frighten me. I can be skittish, and so I need a calm, quiet home where I can get lots of exercise. I really need a home where someone will spend a lot of 1-on-1 time with me. I do bark, and so apartment & town house living isn't for me. I am housetrained & crate trained. I will wait at the door & whine or bark when I need to go outside. I go out frequently. However, I love my crate. Sometimes I prefer to sleep in my crate. I ride very well in a car. I'm already spayed & up-to-date on shots! I'm small - I only weigh about 20 lbs. I'm just waiting for my forever family to adopt me! Click on my page to see another photo of me.

Chipper

Bio at Adoption: Hi! My name is Chipper and & I'm a 3-4 year old female beagle! I'm a very sweet girl! I'm very loving with my people. I love to sit on their lap! I'm also quite active & I have lots of energy! When I come in from outside, I love to run around the house & then I leap onto my person's lap! I like to play tug-of-war. I am very shy & insecure. But once I get to know my people, I'm not shy. I'm extremely shy with strangers, though, & I'm easily frightened. I must be in a securely fenced area or on a zip line when outside. I would run off if I got loose, so it's critical that I be in a home where I can't run out the door or get loose when I'm outside. Because I'm so shy & easily frightened of strangers, I need a home with 1 or 2 quiet adults. I'm good with cats & seem to be good with other dogs. I am housetrained & crate trained, although I may have a few accidents at first. I'm used to going outside 3-4 times per day. I will stare at my people or prance around to let them know I need to go outside. I ride really well in a car. I'm already spayed & up-to-date on shots. I weigh less than 25 lbs. I'm living in a kennel now & I hope my forever home comes soon! Click on my page to see a different photo of me!

Daisy

Bio at Adoption: Hi! My name is Daisy, & I'm a 6-year old beagle/English bulldog! I'm adorable & very loving! I weigh about 50 lbs & I'm about the same height as a bigger beagle. I'm playful & love to play tug-of-war. I LOVE stuffed toys! The way I figure, all the stuffed toys that I can get belong to me! I like to play "keep away" with the other dogs in my foster home - but they understand that I get the toys in the end. I love living with another dog or 2, but I'm alpha dog in the family. In fact, I would probably do best in a home with another dog since I like having company. I'm calm & laid back. I walk well on a leash & love car rides. I'm excellent with new people when I'm on a walk. I love to be petted & to get lots of attention! I've been around young children & I'm good with them, but I may jump on them. I'm a great dog to take to the nursing home to visit residents since I have such a sweet demeanor! However, I can be protective of my home, & you have to take your time introducing new people to me when I'm in my home. Because I'm protective of my home, & possessive of my toys, I need a home without children since children usually have friends come to visit. We don't know how Daisy is with cats. Daisy is housetrained & crate trained. Daisy barks a lot, but she might be fine in an apartment if she can't see out the window. Daisy is already spayed & up-to-date on shots. Please think about making Daisy part of your family! Click on her page to see another photo of Daisy.

Gracie

Bio at Adoption: Hi! My name is Gracie! I'm a wonderful 4-year old female red and white beagle. I'm very loving! I'm like Eeyore - very soft fur & personality! I'm good with cats and small children. I'm good with other dogs, but I want to be the dominant dog. I like to take all the toys & lay on top of them! I'm small - only about 21 lbs. I'm originally from a city & so the people had me go on pee pads rather than take me outside. I'm still working on housetraining. So I need a home who will be tolerant & patiently work on that with me. If I get loose, I will run off. So I must be on a secure leash or in a securely fenced yard when outside. I'm already up-to-date on vaccines & will be spayed on May 25. I'm living in a boarding kennel now & desperately want a family! Please think about fostering me or making me a permanent part of your family. Click on my page to see a different photo of me!

Gray Boy

Bio at Adoption: UPDATE on Gray Boy: Gray Boy is now is a permanent foster home. Grey Boy has a terminal health condition, and his permanent foster home, who loves him very much, will take very good care of him. Nittany Beagle Rescue will continue to pay for his vet care. If you would like to make a contribution to Grey Boy's vet care, please click on his page to sponsor him. Hi! My name is Gray Boy! I am a very friendly male beagle mix! I'm great with the other dogs & cats that live there! I am such a sweetheart! I am very gentle! I love to play in water! I am already neutered & up-to-date on vaccines. At some point, someone was very mean to Gray Boy & tied or taped his mouth shut. You can see the scars around Gray Boy's muzzle. Gray Boy is housetrained & crate trained. Gray Boy is probably about 10 years old, and weighs about 30 lbs. Click on Gray Boy's page to see a different photo of him!

Hank

Bio at Adoption: Hi! My name is Hank! I'm a very handsome 2-year old male tricolor beagle. I need a new home because my family had another baby & just didn't have time for me. I'm a very loving boy! I'm also laid back & mannerly. Of course, I'm only 2, so I have a lot of energy! I'm active & playful! I like to play fetch & tag, & chew on my chew toys. I've lived with a 7-year old child, & I was fine with the child. I've also been exposed to toddlers, & I've been fine with them. I'm good with other dogs also. I've never been around cats, but I'm probably fine with them. I'm a beagle, so I'll take off if I get loose. So it's important that I be secure when outside. I was mostly housetrained in my prior home. However, my new family will probably have to work on housetraining with me. I am crate trained. I am used to going outside 3-4 times/day. I will go to the door to let you know I need to go outside. Sometimes I'll bark at the door to let you know. When I travel, I'm used to being in a crate. (Otherwise, I will try to get in the front seat with you while you're driving!) I'm up-to-date on vaccines & will be neutered before I'm adopted. I'm living in a boarding kennel & I desperately want to be in a home with my forever family! Please think about making me part of yours!

Hennessy

Bio at Adoption: Hi! My name is Hennessy & I'm a wonderful male lemon & white beagle mix. I'm quite handsome! I'm long-legged for a beagle, and maybe I'm part foxhound - it's hard to say. But I'm definitely all hound! I'm probably about 2 years old. I'm from a rescue in Virginia, & Andy & Joy, the pilots, flew me to PA so Nittany Beagle Rescue could find me a forever home! In Virginia, I was in a foster home that provided child care, & I was great with the kids there! I'm good with other dogs, although I don't like it when a dog jumps on me (at least not when I first meet them). I'm already up-to-date on vaccines & will be neutered before I'm adopted. I need some work on housetraining, but I'm a bright fellow & will probably get the idea quickly. I was probably a hunting dog at one point, and so it's important I always be on a leash/tie-out or a securely fenced yard when outside or else I will take off. (I was originally found as a stray). I ride really well in a car - I just curl up in the back seat & go to sleep. I haven't been around cats. If they run from me, I may chase them. Please think about making me part of your forever family. I'm very anxious to be part of a loving home! Click on my page to see me looking out the airplane cockpit before taking off from Virginia!

Jake

Bio at Adoption: Meet Jake! He is a tricolor beagle & about 2 years old. Jake is such a sweet & loving boy and desperately needs a home! He was found with Molly, who is also available for adoption. When Molly & Jake first arrived at Nittany Beagle Rescue, they seemed very bonded. But we’ve had them for awhile & they are fine apart – as long as they get lots of attention from their people. Jake loves to sit on your lap! He can be a little insecure & timid in new situations, but then he warms up. Jake is an active, happy & playful dog, as most 2 year old beagles are. He loves to play tag. Jake is good with other dogs & cats. He has been exposed to children and seems quite good with them. However, he was found as a stray and so we don’t know how he would be with very young children (under 7), and so we will place him in a home with children aged 8 & older who know how to treat a dog, or a home with no children. We think Jake lived outside, & so he will need work on housetraining and house manners. Jake will run away if he gets loose, as most beagles do. So he needs to be in a securely fenced yard or on leash when outside. Jake likes to sleep in bed with his person at night. Jake responds well to praise. Jake is already neutered & up-to-date on vaccines. He is about 20 lbs.; he is small, but also very underweight & we are working on putting some weight on him. Jake desperately needs a home! Please think about making him part of your family! Click on Jake's page to see another photo of him!

Kelly

Bio at Adoption: Hi! My name is Kelly & I'm an adorable 7-year old female tricolor beagle. I am a very sweet girl! I belonged to an older gentleman who was no longer able to keep me & several other beagles. I lived outside with my sister, Molly, who is available for adoption through Centre County PAWS. (My brother & father are also available for adoption through Centre County PAWS). I am so ready to live in the house with my family! I am affectionate & easygoing! I get along well with other dogs & cats. I've been exposed to children & am fine with them. I'm just a loving happy girl, & I need a home! I'm a little timid with new things. I am crate trained & working on housetraining in my foster home. I tend to get carsick, so it's best to leave me at home when you take a trip. I am spayed & up-to-date on vaccines. I am anxious to find my forever home! Please think about making me a permanent part of your family! Click on my page to see a different photo of me!

Lady

Bio at Adoption: Hi! My name is Lady & I'm a very sweet 10 year old female beagle. I'm very affectionate & loving! I'm also a happy & easygoing girl. I'm active & playful, & I like to play fetch & tug-of-war. I love my toys! (Sometimes I chew them up!) It may sound like a growl when you take my toy, but I'm not aggressive at all - that's just the sound I make. Lady is a sensitive soul. She was not raised with children, & since she is older, a home with all adults or teenagers would be best. Lady is housetrained, & used to going outside 3 times a day. Lady will bark at the door to let you know when she needs to go outside. Lady was raised as a hunter, so it's important that she not get loose outside. She LOVES to go for walks! Lady is starved for attention & while she has lived with other dogs all her life, she would prefer to be the only dog. When out on a walk, it's best to introduce her to other dogs slowly. She is fine with cats, but will chase them. At night, Lady will sleep somewhere in the house - maybe in bed with her person, or maybe on the sofa. It might be necessary to crate her since she can open some refrigerator & cabinet doors. She is OK with that, but she wants to be with her people & so it's important that she be with her people after they get home from work. The best way to get Lady to listen is to praise her & offer treats. Please think about making Lady part of your family! She is about 25 lbs. & will fit right in! Click on Lady's page to see a photo of her with her toy!

Leo

Bio at Adoption: Hi! My name is Leo & I'm a very handsome 7 or 8 year old male beagle. I belonged to an elderly gentleman who went into a nursing home, & he was no longer able to keep me. I've lived with children as young as 1 & 3 years old, & I am very good with them! I am an easygoing & affectionate fellow. I'm a happy & playful fellow! I am also quite active! Recently I jumped a 3.5 foot fence. In my younger days, I jumped a 5 foot fence - but it's very possible I can't jump that high anymore. I like to get on furniture with my people, & I used to sleep with my owner. I am quite strong & will pull on my leash sometimes. But other times, I am really easy to walk. I have not lived with other dogs or cats, so Nittany Beagle Rescue isn't sure how Leo is with them. Leo is housetrained. He will be neutered before he is adopted. When Nittany Beagle Rescue picked up Leo, he was quite rambunctious in a car. However, when we took him to the vet for his vaccines & check-up, he was well behaved in the car. So he may just need experience riding in a car. He was well behaved at the vet office. When Leo is loose, he will get on the scent of a bunny & go! So it's important that he be in a fenced yard where the fence is high enough to contain him or securely on a leash. Leo is living in a boarding kennel & anxious to find his forever home. Please give Leo a home! Click on Leo's page to see a different photo of him!

Louis

Bio at Adoption: Hi! My name is Louis, but my friends call me Louie! I'm an easygoing male beagle. I'm a very friendly boy! I love people! I'm an older fellow. I need a new home because my owner went into a nursing home. I'm quiet for a beagle. I'm also pretty independent, so I may not listen to you if you give me a command. I get along with other dogs & cats. I haven't been raised with children, but I really like the children that visit me when Nittany Beagle Rescue shows me at Petco in State College. Because I'm older, I will be placed in a home no children or where children are old enough to know how to treat me properly. I am housetrained, but my prior owner would forget to let me outside, so I have accidents in the house sometimes. I'm in a foster home now, & they are giving me a refresher on housetraining. I'm a good size beagle - about 35 lbs. I ride well in a car. I'm already neutered & up-to-date on vaccines. . Please make me part of your family! You'll be glad you did! Click on Louie's page to see a different photo of him.

Lucy

Bio at Adoption: Hi! My name is Lucy & I'm a very sweet 2-year old beagle mix. I have beautiful coloring! I am a very active girl & I love to play tug of war & ball! I'm also affectionate & I love to sleep under the covers with my person at night. I'm also easygoing & sociable. I am good with young children & other dogs. I haven't been around cats, although I'm probably fine with them (although I will may chase them for fun). I do jump on my person, so I might knock a small child down. I ride really well in a car. I am housetrained & cratetrained. If I get loose, I will run off, so it's critical that I be in a securely fenced back yard or a leash or tie-out when outside. Actually, I can jump 5 foot fence (maybe even a higher one!). I will jump it & run off whether someone is in the fenced area with me or not, so I would do better on leash when outside or in a high privacy fenced in area. I am on the small side, probably under 25 lbs. I will be spayed before I'm adopted. Click on my photo to see a different picture of me. Please think about making me part of your family!

Maggie

Bio at Adoption: Hi! My name is Maggie & I'm a 10-year old tricolor beagle. I'm a very affectionate & happy dog! I'm also very friendly & outgoing! I love to hang out on the couch! I like to play tug-of-war. I have lived with another dog & a cat & did fine with them. I've been around children of all ages. I like to sleep in the same room as my person - but I prefer a dog bed on the floor. I ride well in a car, although I may move around at first. I am housetrained & crate trained. If I get loose, I will take off & just keep on going. So it is critical that I be in a securely fenced back yard or on leash when outside. I weigh about 37 lbs & am about the right weight. So I'm big for a beagle. I am spayed & up-to-date on vaccines. I am currently living in a boarding kennel & desperately need a home. Please think about making room in your heart & home for me! Better pictures are coming soon.

Maggie

Bio at Adoption: Hi! My name is Maggie & I'm a very sweet senior female beagle. I'm very very affectionate & loving. I'm also happy & an easygoing girl. Even though I'm older, I've got some spunk! I like to play tug-of-war. Maggie is a sensitive soul. She was not been raised around children, & since she is older, a home with all adults or teenagers would be best. Maggie is housetrained, & used to going outside at least 3 times a day. Maggie goes to the door to let you know when she needs to go outside - but when she has to go, she has to go. Maggie was raised as a hunter, so it's important that she not get loose outside. Maggie is being fostered by a family with other dogs & cats, & she is doing well there. Maggie likes to sleep in bed with her person. The best way to get Maggie to listen is to praise her & offer treats. Maggie is a little girl - probably about 20 lbs or less! Please think about making Maggie a part of your family! Maggie is up-to-date on vaccines & spayed already! Click on Maggie's photo to see a different picture of her.

Maxie

Bio at Adoption: Hi! My name is Maxie & I'm an very sweet 8-year old female tricolor beagle. I am a very loving girl! I belonged to an older gentleman who was no longer able to keep me & several other beagles. I came to Nittany Beagle Rescue with my daughter, Kelly, who is also available for adoption. We are not bonded & so we will be placed separately. But I am so ready to live in the house with my family! I am affectionate & easygoing! I'm also playful & active! I get along well with other dogs. I've been exposed to children & am fine with them. I'm just a loving, happy girl, & I need a home! I haven't been around cats, but I'm probably fine with them. I lived outside all my life, although I did come in the house on really cold nights. I'm not housetrained yet but I'm a smart girl. So my family just needs to have some patience while they teach me house manners. I am crate trained though. I ride well in a car. I will be spayed before I'm adopted. I'm living in a boarding kennel & desperately want to be part of a family! Please think about fostering me or making me a permanent part of your family! Click on my page to see a different photo of me!

Molly

Bio at Adoption: Meet Molly! She is a tricolor beagle & about 2 years old. She is such a sweet & loving girl and desperately needs a home! She was found with Jake, who is also available for adoption. When Molly & Jake first arrived at Nittany Beagle Rescue, they seemed very bonded. But we’ve had them for awhile & they are fine apart – as long as they get lots of attention from their people. Molly loves to be with people, but she is also very active & energetic! Molly is a playful, happy dog! She loves to play tag. Molly is good with other dogs & cats. She has been exposed to children and seems quite good with them. However, she was found as a stray and so we don’t know how she would be with very young children (under 7), and so we will place her in a home with children aged 8 & older who know how to treat a dog, or a home with no children. We think Molly lived outside, & so she will need work on housetraining and house manners. Sometimes she will whine when she needs to go outside. Molly will run away is she gets loose, as most beagles do. So she needs to be in a securely fenced yard or on leash when outside. Molly likes to sleep in bed with her person at night. Molly responds well to praise. Molly is already spayed & up-to-date on vaccines. She is about 20 lbs.; she is small, but also very underweight & we are working on putting some weight on her. Molly desperately needs a home! Please think about making her part of your family! Click on Molly’s page to see another photo of her!

Nancy Anne

Bio at Adoption: Hi! My name is Nancy Anne & I'm the sweetest girl! I'm about 7 years old & I'm probably a beagle mix. I'm a mild mannered girl & I love to be with my people! I'm very sensitive to my person's needs. I also love to cuddle & to be brushed! I also love toys! I've had a very rough life! I was abused & neglected earlier in my life. I was starved & now I tend to eat too much. (I'm on a diet now). In my prior life, I was kept in a dog box outside with no insulation. Also, I was hit by a tractor & tailor when I was young, & so my nasal cavity is messed up. When I breath heavy it sounds like I'm growling, but it's just my nasal cavity. Nancy Anne has been exposed to children & was good with them when they visited. Nancy Anne has had such a hard life! She would love to be the only dog so she can get lots of attention. We think a home where she can lean against her person & be petted & brushed & loved would be perfect for her! She seems to be fine with cats. On walks she seems fine with small dogs, but bigger dogs scare her. She is housetrained & spayed. At the vet's office, she didn't like it when they lifted her to the table & restrained her. So it's possible Nancy Anne doesn't like to be lifted or cornered. Nancy Anne is sometimes possessive over her food, which is natural for a dog who has been starved. Please think about making Nancy Anne part of your family! Click on her page to see another photo of her.

Nora

Bio at Adoption: Hi! My name is Nora & I'm a very sweet 10-year old female red & white beagle. I'm such a sweet girl! I'm an affectionate & loving dog! And I'm a happy girl, too! I love to be petted & to have my belly rubbed! I'm good with other dogs & cats. I'm also good with children. I am housetrained & crate trained. When I need to go outside, I will stand at the door. So if you don't see me, I may have an accident (since you didn't let me out!). I'm used to going out every 4-6 hours. If you are gone all day, it's fine to crate me (to make sure I don't have an accident in the home). But I can roam free in the home if you are gone for a few hours and at night. I enjoy being on the couch, and I may even want to sleep with you! I walk well on a leash - which is unusual for a beagle. I will escape out the door & wander off, so you have to be very careful about opening the door. It would be best to have a double entry system so I can't get out. I need a new home because my people are moving to a city, and it wasn't a good situation for me. While I get along fine with other dogs, I don't like to eat around them. I just like my own space when enjoying my meals. I am already spayed. Please think about making me part of your family! Click on my page to see a different photo of me!

Peanut

Bio at Adoption: Hi! My name is Peanut! I'm a male tricolor beagle & I'm 7 years old. I'm a very affectionate & happy dog! I'm also very friendly & outgoing! I'm an active & playful boy, & I'm also easy going. I have lived with another dog & a cat & did fine with them. I've been around children of all ages. I like to play tug of war, fetch & ball! I prefer to sleep in bed with my person. I ride well in a car, although I may move around at first. I am housetrained, although I might have an occasional accident. I am also crate trained. If I get loose, I will take off, as most beagles will. I weigh about 37 lbs & am about the right weight. So I'm big for a beagle. I am neutered & up-to-date on vaccines. I am currently living in a boarding kennel & desperately need a home. Please think about making room in your heart & home for me! Click on my page to see a different photo of me!

Quagmire

Bio at Adoption: Hi! My name is Quagmire, but you can call me Quag or Beagle for short! I'm a 6-year old male tricolor beagle. I'm a really sweet fellow! I'm very loving & affectionate! I'm attentive to my people. I'm also playful & very active. I'm fantastic in the car! I've been around children aged 4 to 10 years, & I'm good with them, although I will jump on them. I'm lived with another dog & I'm good with other dogs. However, I like to be dominant. I have longer legs than average for a beagle. And I'm quite trim! I do have some separation issues, so it's necessary to keep me crated when no one is home. I like to eat people food, & will get into the garbage. So it's best to put the garbage where I can't get it. When outside, Quag needs to be in a fenced area or on leash, which is normal for a beagle. He likes to dig - which is normal beagle behavior also. Quag is housetrained & used to going outside every few hours. He will claw at the door to let you know he needs to go outside. However, he will dribble pee when he's excited. He will also mark his territory. Quag isn't neutered yet. Nittany beagle Rescue will have him neutered & get him a full check-up. Quag is living in a boarding kennel & desperately wants to be part of a family! Please think about making him part of your home! Click on Quagmire's page to see another photo of him!

Riley

Bio at Adoption: Hi! My name is Riley & I'm a 6-year old female beagle. I'm a total sweetheart! I'm also an active girl! I like to play tag! I've been around children as young as 5 years of age, & I'm very good with them. I'm good with other dogs & cats. I also like to hang out on the couch & to sleep in bed with my person at night. I love to sleep under the covers with you! I ride really well in a car! I will run off, so it is important that I be in a fenced yard or on leash at all times when outside. I need a new home because my family had a baby & I wasn't able to get enough attention. I really like attention from my people! I am already spayed & housetrained (although I won't really tell you when I need to go outside. It's best to keep me on a schedule). I do not like crates, & will figure out how to get out of one. But it's fine to babygate me in the kitchen when you are gone. Please think about making me part of your family! My photo is coming soon!

Roxy

Bio at Adoption: Hi! My name is Roxy! I'm a beautiful 2-year old female tricolor beagle. I need a new home because my family had another baby & just didn't have time for me. I'm full of energy! I LOVE to run & jump & play! My favorite games are tag & tug of war. I'm also very loving & affectionate! And I'm very sociable! I'm housetrained, but may have accidents every now & then. So you just need to watch me. I usually go outside 3-4 times/day. I will go to the door to let you know I need to go outside. Sometimes I'll bark at the door to let you know. I am crate trained, & used to sleeping in my crate at night. When I travel, I'm used to being in a crate. (Otherwise, I will try to get in the front seat with you while you're driving!) I'm already spayed & up-to-date on vaccines. I'm living in a boarding kennel & I desperately want to be in a home with my forever family! Please think about making me part of yours! My photo is coming soon!

Shy Girl

Bio at Adoption: Hi! My name is Shy Girl, but you can call me Shy! I'm a very sweet female tricolor beagle. I just turned 5 years old. I'm wonderful with other dogs! I've been raised with older children & I'm great with them also. I'm an affectionate & loving girl. I'm also playful & sociable. Even though I can be shy sometimes, I'm outgoing & like to meet new people. I am afraid of loud noises, though. I lived outside in my former home, but I would come into the kitchen for a few hours or overnight sometimes. I showed signs of being housetrained. I will howl & go to the door if I need to go outside. I am also crate trained. I ride very well in the car. I will be spayed before I'm adopted. I am anxious to find my forever family & to hang out on the couch with my people! Click on my page to see another photo of me. Please give me a home!

Sophie

Bio at Adoption: Hi! My name is Sophie & I'm a very sweet & affectionate 2-year old female beagle. I'm good with children, other dogs & cats! I'm an easygoing dog - plus I'm mannerly! I can be a little afraid of new people & dogs at first, though. I am housetrained & crate trained. Because I'm only 2 years old, I'm an energetic girl! So it's important that I get enough exercise. I love toys & I like to play tag, ball & tug of war! I ride really well in a car! Usually I sleep in a crate at night. However, if you crate me while you are at work during the day, it's important not to crate me at night also. I need a new home because the young child in the family was too rough with me, & so I'll be placed in a home where the children are old enough to know how to properly treat a dog. I am already spayed & up-to-date on vaccines. Please think about making me part of your family! Click on Sophie's page to see a different photo of her!

Young Leo

Bio at Adoption: Young Leo (Leo for short) is a very energetic 8-month old beagle pup! He is a very smart boy! Leo was learning how to ring a bell to tell his person he needs to go outside, but he needs some more work on that. He is good with other animals, & such a sweet boy! Leo is crate trained and housetrained (he has access to a doggie door in his foster home). However, de does bark in his crate. Leo would do best if he lived with another young dog. He really needs a fenced in yard - or frequent access to a doggie play yard. He likes to play & run, & loves the company of the other dog. He likes to hang out on the sofa or dog bed when he is resting. He sleeps in bed with her person at night. Leo is already neutered & up-to-date on shots. Leo does like to bark & so he needs a home where this is not an issue. Being a young dog, he likes to chew & rip things apart - so he needs nylabones & tough toys! Leo is a good size for a beagle (at least 30 lbs. at 8 months).
