BangBio at Adoption: Hi! My name is Bang & I'm a 4-year old male tricolor beagle! I'm sure you're wondering about my name. It's an old family name. But don't be fooled by it because I don't hunt! I get along great with other dogs, cats & children! I have been living outside in a dog house for awhile. However, I lived in an apartment recently & I didn't have any accidents! But now I'm living in a kennel, so I am really looking for my forever home! I love to be held! Normally, I'm real mellow. But when I have to go outside, I get happy & dance around! I was found as a stray, but the folks who found me kept me in their home while they tried to find my prior owners. BoomerBio at Adoption: Hi! My name is Boomer! I'm a very friendly & easygoing beagle! I'm also quite playful, as well as loving & affectionate! I love children! I would especially love to have a little boy or girl of my own to cuddle & play with! I'm very good with other dogs & cats! I'm about 7 years old, but I act more like a 2 year old pup! I am housetrained & neutered! I used to live outside, attached to a doghouse, but now all I want to do is live inside with my person! I love to cuddle next to you on the chair & in bed! I have acute renal failure - but the vet says that I could live for years if I'm on a low-protein diet. Also, sometimes I leak a little. But I am a super fantastic dog! BuddyBio at Adoption: This 2-year old male tricolor beagle is a beautiful beagle! Buddy is a wonderful dog! Nittany Beagle Rescue got Buddy from the Centre Hall SPCA, so we don't know too much about him. However, we do know that he lived in a home, so he is probably housetrained, or at least nearly so. My former family was too busy & didn't have time to work on housetraining with me. So I need a family who has the time & patience to do that. I do get carsick, so I would rather stay home than go on trips with my new family. I am living in a kennel & desperately need a home! |
ClaraBio at Adoption: This is a COURTESY POST. Clara is a female short legged tri-color beagle available for adoption through the Bedford County (Pennsylvania) Humane Society. She weighs approx. 15 lbs. and is about 13 years old. She has such a lovely sweet personality! She looks at you with those big soulful eyes. She is a very quiet and sweet dog! She follows you everywhere! Clara is in a foster home learning about the joys iof living in a home with people. She loves it & wants to spend the rest of her life in a home with her people! Before Clara came to the shelter, she lived in an outdoor kennel. Clara is is crate trained and sits! She walks well on a leash and loves everyone she meets. ElsieBio at Adoption: This 2 or 3 year old female beagle is very sweet! Elise is very loving! She is very much a character! Elsie is mischievous - in a puppy sort of way! Elsie likes to climb on thinks & can jump over a baby gate! She will also dash out the front door - so you have to be careful! Elsie is housetrained & crate trained! I've been around children as young as 6 years of age, & I'm very good with them! I'm an affectionate guy! I'm also very playful & I love to be with others! I love to play tug-of-war! KramerBio at Adoption: This is a COURTESY POST. This 5-year old male tricolor beagle is a lovebug! Kramer is outgoing & friendly! Kramer loves to cuddle & to be next to his people! He is also extremely energetic & loves to go for daily walks & runs! Kramer really enjoys being outside with his people! He has been exposed to children of all ages & is good with them! Kramer is also good with other dogs & cats! He loves to play with his stuffed squeeky toys & balls! Kramer doesn't like loud sounds. He has jumped a privacy fence in the past, so he needs a home where he will won't be unattended when he is outside (especially if he is in a fenced yard). LightningBio at Adoption: Hi! My name is Lightning & I'm a 7-year old male purebred tricolor beagle. I love walks & sleeping near my people! Cats don't bother me at all, but I'm picky with what dogs I like. I like to play with my people, but I'm not sure what to do with toys. (I never had any before I came to my foster family). I'm shy at first around strangers, but warm up quickly! Patience is the name of the game with me! I should be okay in a home with older children who know how to properly treat a dog. NovaBio at Adoption: Hi! I'm Nova, & I'm a very sweet tricolor female beagle! I'm about 5 years old. I am good with children! I am skittish at first, but once I get to know you, I will love you & want to be close to you! It doesn't take long for me to feel comfortable around new people. Just give me some biscuits & I should be fine! I was rescued from a bad situation, & so the folks at Nittany Beagle Rescue aren't sure if I'm housetrained. I was around other dogs while in a temporary foster home, & I was fine. I will be spayed before I am adopted. I am living in a kennel & desperately need a home! Piper & WillowBio at Adoption: This is a COURTESY POST. Piper, age 8 and Willow, age 9, are two female beagle ladies who are as sweet as can be! They are both very sweet love sponges. They are quiet, not barky at all. And they are housebroken. Piper and Willow are a little overweight, but they are making lots of progress on their diet! Piper has a thyroid condition and takes one pill/day for this. Willow likes going for walks but she is content just to hang out as well. Piper, who is the most overweight, can't walk long distances yet. She spends most of the day snoozing on her bed but she'll get up and waddle around from time to time. RoseBio at Adoption: Hi, My name is Rose and I am just the sweetest thing! I was originally found as a stray. The woman who found me discovered that I had been shot & was pregnant! I even had to have a c-section when I had my puppies on 9/8/07. (They will be available for adoption the beginning of November). But I will also need a home! I am very quiet & I love to be with my person! I get along with other dogs & cats, but I would prefer to be the only dog. With all I've been through, I just really need the comfort of being the only one. I am housetrained & spayed. Also, I love to ride in a car! |

ShaqBio at Adoption: Hi! My name is Shaq! I was named after Shaquille O'Neil, since I'm so solid & strong! I am a very gentle guy! I am very good with children & I love to play with other dogs! I am very good natured & affectionate. I just want to be loved (& played with)! I like to go on walks (although I need some leash training) & I like to play ball! I also love to play chase with other dogs! I haven't been around cats. SnickersBio at Adoption: This 3-4 year old beagle is a very friendly dog! Snickers is also a gentle & loving dog! He was found as a stray, but we think he may be housetrained. He is wonderful with people! Snickers likes to ride in the car - he rides very well sitting in the back seat. Snickers is in a foster home with another dog, & he does very well! |

SuzieBio at Adoption: This is a COURTESY POST. Suzie is a female, tri-colored Beagle, approximately 7 years old. She was a stray who found herself at the SPCA in Stroudsburg. Suzie's time was up at the shelter (because she was older and they were full); but fortunately, through a strange twist of fate, she has been rescued by Pets Come First. Suzie is playful and pretty energetic for an "older" gal! She loves to go for walks and just likes being with people. She can be vocal when left alone, so she would do well in a home in the country, or with someone who is home with her throughout the day. She knows some basic commands like sit and lay down, and she is housebroken. She does well with the 2 other Beagles that have been sharing her kennel with her, though she occasionally shows some food aggression. This can be avoided by feeding her separately from any other dogs. Suzie really needs to find a foster or permanent home, ASAP. She is a GREAT girl who is missing the love and attention of a family. TobyBio at Adoption: Hi! I'm Toby & I'm a laid-back & easy-going male tricolor beagle! I'm also quite affectionate & attentive with my people! I'm a well-behaved & quiet dog! When no one is home, I just sleep on the sofa! I can be reserved at first, but once I get to know you, I'll be your best bud! In fact, I enjoy playing ball! I've been around children of all ages & I'm very good with them! I'm also very good with other dogs & cats! I am housetrained. I'm very well behaved when no one is home, so my prior owners didn't bother putting me in a crate when they left the house.
