(passed away August 17, 2016, at 10+ years old)
Bucky was spirited little fellow. My family first met Bucky when he was a puppy at PAWS years ago. He had boundless energy when Jon drove him from the kennel to be shown for adoption. He found the best family! Cathy and Adrian Wanner and their family adored him. His tricolor marking showed that he was part beagle, and, if more proof was needed, he loved to eat. The terrier part showed up in his wiry coat. He loved patrolling his backyard and, when he wasn't poking around, he found someone's feet to sit on. He had friends and admirers across the Northeast, who he periodically visited. His quirky ways made everyone smile.
Bucky came to stay with us just recently, while his family was abroad. He arrived with only one eye, having lost the other to a tumor. Kayden and Rosie were good new companions - three rescued beagles. Here (in the photo) they are policing the neighborhood from our deck. Bucky was unique - quiet, quizzical, and determined. Many thanks to Dr. Jonathan Baldys for his excellent care. We will miss you, Bucky!

Losing a beloved pet is so very hard on all of us. They have given us so much love through the years when they were with us here on earth and now we live with their wonderful memories.
Tax-deductible donations of $25.00 can be made in memory of a beloved pet. By memorializing your pet or a friend's or family member's pet in this way, you help Nittany Beagle Rescue give beagles who are in shelters or with owners who can no longer keep them a second chance at a wonderful life.
You can also send us a letter dedicated to your pet that has passed and/or a photo of the pet along with a request that they be posted on this page. Your letter and photo can be sent by email to email@example.com.
