Nittany Beagle Rescue - Walter

UPDATED 9/2/2026 Hi! My name is Walter! I'm a very sweet 3.5 year old male beagle. I like to hang out on the couch with my people! Nittany Beagle Rescue thinks I prefer to lay beside my people, rather than be on their lap. I'm not particularly playful. So I would be very happy with a laid back home! I've lived with other dogs & I'm good with them - although I'm not crazy about energetic dogs. I prefer everyone be sort of laid back. :) I need a home where the people have some dog skills. I'm housetrained! I go to the door when I need to go outside. NBR doesn't know how I would be in a crate. I ride great in a car! Just secure me to the back seat, & I will ride with my feet on the console looking out the window! You have to be careful with me though - I will run out the door if a get a chance. I was already hit by a car once (I didn't get hurt, thankfully!) - but that means I probably don't have any car or road sense. And so I need a home where I can't get out unless I'm walked out on a leash or go into a securely fenced yard. Sometimes I'm possessive of my food, & so my people need to understand & respect that. I'm up-to-date on vaccines & will be neutered before I'm adopted. I weigh about 27 lbs & the vet said that that is a good weight for me. I can't wait to find my forever home! Are you it??
