Nittany Beagle Rescue - Apollo

Hi! My name is Apollo! I'm a 3-year old male tricolor beagle. I'm a happy, independent little whippersnapper! I've got tons of energy! I can easily climb a chain link fence & get over it. So if I go to a home with a fenced yard, it needs to be something I can't climb over - or go under! I'm learning how to walk on a leash at Nittany Beagle Rescue. I think I'll catch on pretty quick! I've been around children who are 7 and 11 years old now & I'm good with them. I'm dominant with other dogs. I would be happiest if I was the only dog! I would just LOVE the one-on-one attention with my people! Nittany Beagle Rescue isn't sure how I would be with cats. Of course, I need to be in a securely fenced in yard or on-leash at all times when outside since I'll take off - as will most beagles! :) And I can be pretty vocal when I want to be LOL I will need work on housetraining & house manners since that will be new to me! But Nittany Beagle Rescue can provide some guidance on housetraining an adult dog. So I just need a loving, patient person to give me a forever home! I should be crate trained since I'm used to traveling in a crate. I'm up-to-date on vaccines & neutered! So I'm ready for my forever home! I weigh about 20 lbs. - but I could gain a couple of lbs.
